After WWE acquired Mexican Lucha Libre Promotion AAA last month, the game has been changed, and AAA will hold a Triple Mania Legia event on June 15th. The event took place a few days before AEW Grand Slam: Mexico, and now Konnan has dismissed accusations that the AAA is trying to interfere.

While talking about Keepin’ IT 100 podcast, Konnan spoke to Dave Meltzer’s take on the June 15 Triplemania event, scheduled three days before the June 15th Grand Slam. Meltzer accused him of trying to sabotage the AAA by holding the Triplemanía Regia three days before Grand Slam: Mexico: Mexico.

Konnan shot down the charges, saying that AAA had already selected the date before AEW announced it. He explained that people can say whatever they want, but that doesn’t make it true.

Conan added that the situation did not bother him and did not care about speculation, but he felt the need to respond. Konnan added that AAA had the date first, even if AAW hadn’t been published yet, reminding everyone that he was working directly for AAA.

“Let’s just say this. We’ve already put out that date, so they’re putting together things that don’t exist or are true. They can say whatever they want.

Angel Garza and Jumbel Carrillo have already been confirmed to appear in Triple Mania Regia, and in addition to that, multiple TNA talent will also become part of a highly anticipated event. Anyway, Conan makes it clear that sabotage is not involved, and he’s only focused on making Triple Mania Regia a great show, and that’s what’s important to him in the end.
