TNA’s Elijah, formerly known as Elias or Ezekiel during her time at WWE, made a surprising comeback with “WWE NXT.”
This week’s episode saw 25 battle royals at Oba Femi’s NXT Championship, including Trick Williams, “WWE Evolve” star Timothy Thatcher, “WWE LFG” contestants Jasper Troy, Anthony Luke and Shiloh Hill. However, there was also a surprising Return Mitsu Tena cameo with a guitar strum ahead of Elijah, and when the match began, he performed to the crowd on his way to the ring before entering the fight with Ethan Page. Elijah continued through much of the combat royals after a distraction from TNA world champion Joe Hendry, and eliminated Williams. However, he was then quickly eliminated by Sean Spears, ending his return.
Elijah signed with TNA in February after working in independent circuits throughout 2024. He was released from WWE in September 2023 and ended almost a decade with “NXT” passing “NXT” as “drifter” Elias Samson. He was called to the main roster in 2017, and four stints were scattered as WWE 24/7 champions before repacking in 2022 as Elas’ fictional brother Ezekiel.
