New challengers have appeared for the NXT Championship, but not the ones fans were hoping for. Following the Battle Royale of 25 people WWE NXTMilesborn won the right to face Obafemi in WWE Battlegrounds.
The stacked matches featured top names such as Trick Williams, Ethan Page, Lexis King, Wes Lee and Shawn Spears. To my surprise, TNA’s Elijah (best known to WWE fans as Elias) created a remarkable look that elicited a strong response from the crowd.
Final 4 included Je’von Evans, Shawn Spears, Ethan Page and Borne when the matches were narrowed down. In a chaotic ending, Evans is eliminated by both the spear and the Pages, and the Pages turn each other on.
Page attempts to throw away the spear but fails, and Borne seizes the moment by eliminating the page. With a final twist, Page dragged out the spear with him, making the last man stand.
With this victory, Miles Bourne is heading now WWE Battlegrounds As a candidate for the number one NXT Championship for Oba Femi.
