Tag team splits frequently occur in wrestling, and now one of the more popular NXT teams is in the end. On May 6th, WWE NXT editions, Josh Briggs and Inamura Yoshiki were part of the Battle Royale to win the next Challenger in the WWE NXT Championship. Things didn’t go well for the pair as Inamra accidentally eliminated Briggs while trying to eliminate Ridge Holland.

In a behind-the-scenes segment, Tanaka apologized for letting Briggs down and shared that he was back in Japan. Briggs was uneasy at the news and asked his friends and tag team partner not to go. The pair was interrupted by former Briggs tag team partner Brooks Jensen and his new group The Culling.

Inamura made her WWE debut on November 24th, playing 24 games as part of the NXT roster. The Japanese wrestler, who was on a field trip from Pro Wrestling Noah, competed four times for the NXT Tag Team Championship, although he and Briggs never won any gold.
