Tag Team Wrestling has seen a slight increase in attention and television time throughout 2025 at WWE.
It’s no surprise that the division is even more emphasizing moving forward, leaving the heels of the epic TLC match of the April 25 WWE Tag Team Championship on the 41st edition of SmackDown on April 25th.
However, several different tag teams and stable houses are in the process of splitting up to create some new single stars.
Below are six tag teams that will potentially be split in WWE Backlash 2025:
6. A-Town Down (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller)
What could be one of the longest life-type split angles in wrestling today, A-Town Down teased the split in under a year.
It goes back to their time as the WWE Tag Team champions, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller show a crack in their foundations.
This allowed the former US champion to lose the match and suffer many beatdowns, as the theory often found himself a victim of Waller’s selfishness.
After the theory was tricked into taking a throbbing heartbeat with Sheamus’s hands on WWE Raw on May 5th, the Backlash 2025 show was able to see A-Town eventually heading down separate paths.
