Behind the scenes update on AEW’s Juice Robinson injury situation

2 Min Read

2025 hasn’t been the year so far I was looking for Bang Bang Gang, Bret Club Gold, or whatever I wanted to call them. “Switchblade” Jay White looked poised to be a global title contender with the year approaching, but unfortunately he was injured just before the start of the Owen Hart Cup tournament. Gunns has been rarely featured except for the failed title challenge against The Hurt Syndicate. And then there’s Juice Robinson. He was Mia from winter, suffering from broken fibre in a classic continental match with Will Osprey.

Luckily, Robinson’s luck could change. Fightful Select reports that Robinson may be approaching his return, and those close to his situation suggest that Robinson appears relatively healthy for more than a month. However, the former IWGP US champion is still waiting for clearance from the AEW medical team, so Robinson’s return date has not been confirmed yet. It is unclear whether White’s status will play any role in thwarting Robinson’s return.

The injury hampered what once was a promising beginning of Robinson’s AEW career. He and White have a string of matches with FTR. However, just a few months later, Robinson recovered from back surgery and found himself on the shelf for nearly seven months. He was trying to regain momentum this fall, but he helped White in a feud with “Hangman” Adam Page and wrestled with Osprey when he was injured again.
