WWE reportedly signed new contracts with several AAA stars after purchasing the Lucha Libre Company. El Hajo del Wagner Jr., El Hajo del Vikinco, Flamer, controversial stars, Alberto El Patron, La Heedra, and others in the company hopes to avoid AW signing when the current and WWE/AA partnership kicks off at World Coriles on June 7th.

WWE has yet to comment on the reported signature, with one source challenging the story, according to Wrestling Observer Dave Meltzer. Another source has never seen the list of wrestlers, but said the signature was probably in a legal form.

The news was initially broken by Superlucha’s Ernesto Ocampo. He said WWE recently debuted new La Parka, Alberto El Patron, Dr. El Hajo de Wagner Jr., El Haji del Vikin, Flamer, Madame Maravila, La Heedra and Nino Hamburg star. The contract is not as ironclad as it was backed up by TKO Group Holdings. The agreement is said to contain more provisions to protect WWE and TKOs that are not present in the AAA agreement.

WWE is reportedly trying to avoid situations like last year, when AEW had plans to sign CMLL star Stephanie Vaquer, but WWE was able to sign the former CMLL champion after a match he won widely at AEW’s Forbidden Door event.
