Following recent reports from Fightful Select and bullying from the promotion itself, the deal is now official. The Austrian-born star, known as the “Poisonous Spider,” has officially signed a contract with AEW.
According to Fightful Select, the agreement with AEW was reportedly in considerable working time before the final decision was made, as TheKla had been planning to move to the US for some time. The report also pointed out that WWE had previously expressed interest in TheKLA during its efforts to scout international talent last year.
TheKla arrives at AEW after making his name at the Japanese World Wonderling Stardom Promotion. Joining Stardom in late 2021, she quickly won the SWA World Championships while being part of the popular Donna Del Mondo (DDM) faction. She later achieved success with the tag team and held the goddess of the Stardom Championship with MySakurai before stabilizing the eyes of God following the breakup of DDM.
With her unique “toxic spider” persona, impressive appearance and unique in-ring style built into stardom, TheKla’s signature represents a major acquisition of AEW’s women’s division.
