AAA follows WWE’s model with bigger arenas and higher ticket prices

WWE’s official acquisition of Mexican Rucha Libre Promotion AAA is seen as a move that could significantly change the landscape of the business. Fans have wondered what the ultimate goal of AAA after the acquisition is, but now Conan has revealed what that goal is.

While talking about Keepin’ IT 100 podcast, Disco Inferno asked Konnan about AAA’s ultimate goal and whether it would become the best product in Mexico. Inferno wondered whether the plan would use a model similar to WWE. Here, the shows were held in the largest cities and arenas, with ticket prices slightly higher.

“The ultimate goal here is to make AAA a much better product. It’s the best product in Mexico. You can use the WWE model you’re using now. You can basically run shows in the biggest cities, the largest arenas and charge a little more.

Konnan confirmed that it is undoubtedly the current plan and ultimate goal. He added that they will be shown a WWE style system. Essentially, they are trained in a similar way to how WWE works and gain system-wide understanding.

“Yes, that’s a plan. They’re trying to show everyone their system. They’ll show us, you know. So we’ll be trained like if we went to WWE and worked there, we can know their entire system. Do you know what I’m saying?”

Konnan also closed concerns that WWE would soak AAA in the same way as they had done to ECW in the past. Anyway, AAA and WWE are currently firing on all cylinders, and the upcoming event, NXT X AAA: Worlds Collide, set for June 7th at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, is expected to be a solid event.
