Saraya revealed the pitch of the romance angle in AEW, which she refused, and why she rejected the idea.
Speaking on Roolbreakers and Saraya’s “Ask Me Anything” edition, the former Aew star revealed that at one point he proposed a love storyline with “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard.
Saraya explained that she had a boyfriend at the time, noting that she had turned down this storyline because she didn’t think it was appropriate.
“AEW has a wrestler called Papa Magic. They wanted me to have a love storyline with him. I was not going to start that because I could go all the way without a love storyline.
“They had a boyfriend at the time, “No, all he was trying to do was kiss you,” but “I can’t.”
“If you have to kiss someone and have a boyfriend, I don’t think that’s appropriate. I love Daddy’s magic, a good guy, but I couldn’t.”
With Saraya’s announcement of her AEW exit in late March, there were plenty of rumors that “Paige” was swirling before WWE returned.
The current WWE star revealed that they are talking potential in-ring training sessions together with Saraya.
