Former TNA president Scott D’Amore currently runs Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling in Canada, but much of the wrestling world has ended with many of the talents, such as former TNA executives, such as Josh Alexander and Don Charis.
“I enjoy what I’m doing now. I’m always looking for options and opportunities,” D’Amore said on “Busted Open Radio.” The former Team Canada member enjoys working outside of wrestling and says he fell into his first role in Anthem/TNA. “I know that Gilligan Island was a ‘3-hour tour’. Well, I was on a “3-day trip.” It took me three days to Nashville. [assisting Jeff Jarrett]and that has changed in over seven years. I’m not sitting here… I love spending a little more free time. ”
“I’m always open to seeing opportunities, but honestly, I’m grateful for Tony Kahn, the great guy, everything he’s done…and he already has so many great people around him,” D’Amore quoted many former TNA talents like Charis and the Canadian talent RJ City who is responsible for Toni Storm’s “timeless” character. “There’s no lack of a great wrestling heart there.”
D’Amore even suggested visiting AEW’s recent show at Masonic Temple in Detroit. D’Amore, along with TNA Wrestling, oversaw a rebrand from Impact Wrestling and an up-and-coming partnership with WWE. This became a more specific cross-promotion deal earlier this year before it was released in early 2024.
