Despite the recent WWE release in early May 2025, Dakota Kai continues to be actively envisioned by many people in the company.
Some people in WWE reportedly believe that all elite wrestling should sign her. In her latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer shared international responses to Kai’s upcoming free agency.
“The people we spoke to in WWE felt positive about her and should sign her.”
Over the past two years, AEW has invested heavily in the women’s division by signing top free agency and developing talent. Something like Toni Storm, Mercedes Mohn, Mariah May and others helped to raise the roster.
At WWE, she made history for the NXT and became the first two NXT women’s tag team champion along with Raquel Gonzalez. He won his first female Dusty Road Stag Team Classic in 2021.
