After a hot start in charge of Triple H, he started creatively and creatively. WWEpromotions have cooled down a bit lately, but despite this, their main event scene has done better than ever. WWE is fortunate to have many men and women who can lead the company. Cody Rhodes, Rome Reign, CM Punk and others are megastars and pinnacles in the women’s division, including Rare Ripley, Illo Skye and Tiffany Stratton. WWE is in the middle of one of their best times, but wrestlers are getting older and the status quo cannot last forever. So, how long will WWE remain intact and does NXT have the talent to keep WWE booming?
WWE’s men’s roster has an aging main event scene
How long can Cody Rhodes be the face of WWE?
- Rome’s rule will retire in a few years.
- Cody Rhodes can remain the face of WWE for a while.
- The current main event for WWE has not been around for years.
Over the years, WWE did its best to make Roman rule the face of the company. But over the past few years, I’ve seen OTC become part-time wrestlers. On May 25th, he turned 40. That means he’s only been in the ring for a few years. Even he knows this and has recently reported on the Vanity Fair:
“After I finished the contract I was in, I got a maximum of a year or two, perhaps a year or two. It’s time to take on more physical forms of entertainment.”
WWE’s new face, Cody Rhodes, is in a similar position. The American nightmare will turn 40 at the end of June, but unlike governance, he still wants to be a full-time wrestler for the next few years.
“Well, third, 39 now, I think my contract is running until I don’t want to wrestletter full time.
Cody Rhodes won’t go anywhere for a while, but what about the rest of the main event roster? CM Punk is 46 years old and only has a few years left. Former world heavyweight champion Gunther is 37 years old, and Jay Uso, who beat him at WrestleMania 41, is 39 years old. The other former champions are similarly the same age, with Damian’s priest 42 years old. John Cena, 48, is at the end of the year.
Women’s rosters have almost young talent
Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton have been around for a long time
- Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton are still pretty young.
- Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair are at their peak.
- The remaining four horses no longer dominate the WWE.
The male roster will undergo dramatic changes in the years, but the advantage is that it is in a much better place in the women’s department. Female star Rhea Ripley is only 28 years old, and Liv Morgan will turn 31 in June. There are several older stars like Iyo Sky, 34, and Bianca Belair, 35. On the Smackdown side of things, WWE is lucky to be led by Tiffany Stratton. There are 26 WWE women’s champions, but one of her biggest rivals, Niajax, is 40 years old. Names like Jade Cargill, Naomi and Chelsea Green are also found around the main event, but the three women are 30 years old.
Then there is the problem with four horse women. Mercedes Mohn is currently in AEW, Charlotte Flair suffers several injuries and Becky Lynch has just returned from a very long break, and Bailey’s bookings aren’t frustrating. How long can the remaining three members stay at the top of WWE? Charlotte is 39 years old, Becky Lynch 38 and Bailey 35. It’s hard to guess, but there’s no more in a few years.
NXT is stacked with stars ready to move up
Raw and Smackdown will be fine for years to come
- Bron Breakker, Dominic Mysterio and Laila Valkyria are stepping into the main roster.
- Trick Williams and Oba Femi lead the men in NXT.
- NXT’s women’s division is full of ready talent.
Wrestling is aimed at changing. The old stars go and the new stars come in. This makes the product feel fresh, but can WWE handle the shifts once the current main event in the male and female department begins to retire? The company appears to be in good hands, both from the young main roster star and those waiting at NXT. Bron Blakeker has recently earned a very decent big push, and is only 27 years old, so he can lead the company for the next 10 years. Dominik Mysterio, 28 and a year older than him, is with him. In the women’s department, you don’t need to look any more than the 28-year-old Laila Valkyria to help carry the torch into the future.
At NXT, the roster is better than ever before. On the boys’ side, names like Trick Williams, Oba Femi, Ricky Saints, Ethan Page and others are ready, but Saint and Page are already 35 years old. Just as the last of the four jockeys say goodbye a few years later, the company is heading the pack with names such as Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia and Jordynne Grace. All of these veterans are over 30, but keep an eye on Roxanne Perez, who has been the face of NXT for the past few years and is only 23 years old. WWE’s main event will change drastically by the end of the decade, but don’t be surprised if it gets even better.
