WWE Crown Jewel Championship Match amid Saudi Arabia Shift

WWE’s Crown Jewel Championship is literally moving. With WWE’s announcement that Crown Jewel 2025 will be held in Perth, Australia instead of Saudi Arabia, questions have been raised about what will happen with male and female titles traditionally taking place in the kingdom.

WWE is scheduled to host the Crown Jewel Championship Match at an event in Australia on October 11, 2025, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. “The Crown Jewel PPV on October 11th will host the annual Crown Jewel Title Match, which was scheduled as an annual event in Saudi Arabia.” Meltzer wrote.

This shift is why Saudi Arabia is set to host the Royal Rumble in January 2026, so it won’t be able to win another major event later this year. Meltzer added that WWE is hoping that the Crown Jewel title match will return to Saudi Arabia in 2026, and that the Survivor series will focus on Wargames Match.

Last year, Cody Rhodes became the first men’s Crown Jewel champion, defeating then heavyweight champion Gunther while holding the WWE Championship. Liv Morgan also made history as the first female Crown Jewel champion, beating then WWE women’s champion Nia Jacks while holding the Women’s World Championship.

With the 2025 Crown Jewel set up for Australia now, WWE continues to speculate with fans whether they will step into the event where Cody and Liv hold their titles, or whether a new champion will crown the crown before the big showdown.
