NXT North American Champion Ricky Saints looks happy with WWE’s new home since signing the promotion a few months ago. The Saints made memorable news when he was discovered last year on Wrestlemania XL while he was still signed with AEW. He was previously found behind the scenes at Royal Rumble 2023.
“It feels good,” Saints said he’ll kick off his recent appearance on “The Rich Eisen Show.” “Oh my god, I’m here. My first one is, “I’m actually allowed to be in public and not be bothered! That’s perfect!”
The saints were asked to remember his feelings last year when he saw his friend Cody Rhodes “ends his story” by defeating Roman reign in the main event of WrestleMania 40 Night 2.
“It wasn’t my first nerd, I’ve been to some of them, but it was great just because I saw my good friend finally win the big one,” Saints recalled. “It was a great weekend, but I remember telling myself that I was the last time I was on that side of the glass panel.”
Saints made his WWE debut in February, 24 hours after his release from AEW. He had been away from television for almost a year. The Saints have just captured the North American championship, but the star has acknowledged his high aspirations for his future in WWE, and hopes to eventually become the WWE champion one day.
