It’s a big year for former TBS champion Willow Nightingale. A new report shows that she is in a contract year with AEW. According to Fightful Select, Nightingale transactions are set to expire in a few months, but the exact date is not clear.

The outlet reported that people at AEW claimed Nightingale was a priority for the company and that AEW hoped to retain her. Fightur reports that Nightingale is preferred in the company, and everyone they spoke to believe it is to ensure Nightingale is offered an extension to staying in AEW. Nightingale only took five AEW matches in 2025, including a loss to Kris Statlander in his most recent match, “AEW Collision.” She recently collaborated with Swerve Strickland to defeat AEW World Champions Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir. Her only victory on AEW TV this year took place in a March episode of “Aew Dynamite” against Penelopeford.

Nightingale officially signed AEW in October 2022. She worked on the independent wrestling scene for several years before starting to appear in ROH and AEW in 2021.

Nightingale won the Women’s Owen Hart Cup in 2023 and held one TBS Championship during her company. “The Babe With the Power” also hosted the CMLL World Women’s Championship and the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship.
