An update has occurred on potential new signatures ahead of tonight’s WWE Backlash 2025 Premium Live event.
For weeks, fans have been anticipating the arrival of former NJPW star Jeff Cobb in WWE.
According to a report from Pwinsider, Cobb was already listed on the Smackdown roster within WWE, and he was scheduled to start a backlash in St. Louis tonight.
Posting an update on his whereabouts just hours before the show, Cobb informed everyone that he was clearly in Los Angeles.
He posted a video and a message of him working there.
I had just finished a sweet workout and after years of going to LA, it was my first time going here! If you are in the area, I recommend checking out it! Gym, free tanning, and when you’re done, jump on the beach!
When fans replied, “I heard that St. Louis is the perfect place to visit this time of year 🤫”, an obvious reference to the WWE backlash – Cobb replied:
I always left Missouri for summer vacation in mid-May, please try Missouri someday lol
It is worth noting that Cobb has a lot of fun with reports of joining WWE, including announcing his “retirement.”
