One of the most talked about tag teams in WWE history tells stories as old as two unlikely competitors teamed up to win a massive victory, leading to one of WWE’s most interesting tag teams. Before Dark Alexas Squirrel and the Devil Bray Wyatt were present, there were Bliss and Brown Strowman who teamed up for the Mix Match Challenge in 2018.
Strowman and Bliss were put together as teams competing to win money for the charity of their choice by the mixed tag teams of “WWE Raw” and “WWE Smackdown” and competed in the Facebook Watch tournament, the Mixed Match Challenge. Brown and Bliss were quickly known as “Team Little Big” due to their large size differences. Team Little Big was taken out in the semifinals by the ultimate winners Miz and Asuka, but was a fan favorite throughout the challenge. Throughout their match, they teased an angle of potential romance, but it never happened on WWE TV, and fans slowly forgot about it.
The relationship between Strowman and Bliss did not grow again on television until the 2020 pandemic “Thunderdome” era. Strowman and Wyatt went head-on in the horror show in Extreme Rules, in the film match Battle of Wyatt Swamp. During the match, Bliss is revealed as a black veiled fantasy pleading with Strowman to “come back” and pleading them to be together. This time, WWE didn’t let the fans forget their relationship as a former team as things came to mind in the ring a few weeks after the non-title match between the former Wyatts family.
Strowman uses bliss as bait
Following the battle of Wyatt Swamp, the devil targets bliss in an episode of “Smackdown” and smacks her with her lower jaw claws in the middle of the ring. After weeks of tormented by the devil, Strowman had enough and headed out into the ring to summon Wyatt’s dark side in “Smackdown.” But instead of the devil, Bliss comes out to try and tell her former tag team partner some sort of feeling.
Bliss eats a press slum from Strowman for her troubles after being told he doesn’t care about her. Strowman tried to pull out the demon by attacking bliss, and she lay again. However, the next time the demon targeted her, Bliss seemed intrigued by him. The Devil continued to defeat Strowman in Summer Slam falls count matches without interference from bliss, but the “Goddess” had changed.
She often went to trance and began using her sister Abigail, Wyatt’s finisher. Following the initial attack by the devil, Bliss began to wear different clothes with dark makeup and wear pigtails to give him an almost doll-like look. She became a regular character in Wyatt’s “Firefly Funhouse,” where he portrayed a character in his writer, Rogers-esque.
Bliss and the Devil were drafted together to “live” and began a feud with each other against Randy Orton. Wyatt was then amortized from television for a while, but Bliss took over the feud against Orton. The Devil is back to support Bliss in an intergender match with Orton on Fastlane.
Bliss betrays the devil
Bliss and Fiend will be teaming up to WrestleMania 37, where the newly returned demons earned Orton. During the match, Bliss quickly appeared ringside in the box and pops up in the form of a demon. Orton hit an RKO from a distraction and got the victory. Bliss continued without him as he betrayed the demon that pointed her towards the dark side. Wyatt disappeared from WWE programming following the loss of WRETLEMANIA and was released from the company in July 2021.
Before Wyatt passed early in August 2023, Devil and Bliss never crossed the road on screen again. Wyatt returned to work in October 2022, but Bliss was heading to take a break from work in 2023, following the Royal Rumble. Bliss highly praised the character Wyatt and his work with man Wyndham Rotunda after he passed away.
Bliss will become apparent as part of the faction, as Wyatt’s real-life brother Bodallas leads the Wyatt Six stable without the sixth member. When she returned to Royal Rumble in 2025, she also returned a new version of her dark appearance and an updated version of the Lily doll. However, with Strowman being released from the company in early May, it seems unlikely that he will be reunited or feuded with her first tag team partner, Strowman.
