WWE Backlash 2025 opened on the epic 4-way where Jacob Fatu saw him hold the US championship with Lanite, Drew McIntyre and Dami Amp Liest. It was reported that McIntyre was potentially injured during this title match after the match.
At a press conference after the WWE Backlash Show, Paul “Triple H” Levesque spoke about the match.
“Fortunately, everyone is healthy. I think the priest has a tooth that he wants to stay in his head for a few days and be solid again. But other than that, I drew McIntyre and smacked him a bit, but it’s totally fine.”
The US title is the only gold to protect McIntyre from the Grand Slam, and is similar to his friends Sheamus and Intercontinental Gold. There’s time to see if he has money or not, but fans can hope that McIntyre will soon return to the ring despite the fear of injury.
