Drew McIntyre has made fans worried after a brutal place in WWE repulsion that saw him awkwardly land during a heavenly chokeslam from Damien Priest. The move was delivered from the production area and led to McIntyre grabbing the back of his head as WWE medical staff rushed to check him out through two tables.
Pwinsider’s Mike Johnson reported that McIntyre was being evaluated behind the scenes after the match, and WWE took precautions to closely monitor his condition.
At a post-show press conference, Triple H handled the situation and assured fans that McIntyre was “It was hit a little bit, but it’s completely fine.” He added, “Fortunately, everyone is healthy. I think the priest has gotten a tooth that he hopes to stay in his head for a few days here and be solid again.”
The four-way match of the WWE US Championship also featured La Knight and Reaging Champion Jacob Fatu, but the spotlight moved to McIntyre after a fierce landing.
