Mina Shirakawa soon becomes a full-time member of the AEW roster.
The female star announced her intention to leave Stardom in March to become a full-time member of American promotions, but since then she has not appeared in Tony Kahn’s promotion.
Fightful Select recently provided an update with the company about Stardom Champion’s future former artist. According to them, Shirakawa’s announced move towards the US is on us. The former champion hasn’t been seen in AEW programming for a while, but she’s back in the company.
The site has revealed that Shimizu River has been debated over the coming weeks. After impressing AEW officials in her previous run at the company, she is expected to receive an “immediate push” for her comeback.
When the Japanese star first debuted for the promotion in 2024, she was caught up in a storyline with Mariah May and “timeless” Toni Storm.
She originally challenged the storm for the AEW women’s title in a failed attempt. She later formed a tag team in May. Their partnership didn’t last long as Mariah turned on Shirakawa after her heels turned.
Mariah May later left television with reports suggesting he was planning a move for WWE. It will be interesting to see where Mina fits into AEW programming in this situation.
