WWE Hall of Fame Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) believes current Intercontinental champion Dominic Mysterio is doomed to be a massive babyface run and could become WWE’s “large babyface.” Speaking to Casinobeats, WCW legend praised the development of the young star and its connection to the audience.
DDP pointed to a positive response that Dominik often receives despite his heel persona during recent appearances, including WrestleMania 41.
“It was interesting because he’s the biggest heel, but even then, at the end of WrestleMania, the boy you swear to God swore that he is the biggest babyface of the company,” DDP said.
He advised Dominic to maintain his current character for now. “When kids make that flip, it’s going to be babyface hell,” DDP said. “She grabs that heel as much as you can, because when he flips over, it tells you that I’m a huge fan.”
The DDP also praised Dominique’s journey and work ethic. “I’m a big fan of how hard he worked to get to this place,” he recalls Dominic’s early days. “I don’t know many young children who could come the way he did with his father. [around]…That kid, he has it all. ”
