Dominik Mysterio defeats the character to name his WWE Mentor

Dominic Mysterio nominated three WWE stars who helped him in his career, and was named “one of the best” on the roster.

Mysterio, the current WWE Intercontinental champion, played his first match at Summer Slam in August 2020.

At the WWE Premium Live event during the Covid-19 era, Seth Rollins defeated Mysterio in a street fight.

Speaking about the Inticados podcast, Mysterio said of the impact Rollins had on him in his career:

“The first person I feuded was Seth Rollins. Seth is one of the best, if not the best, wrestlers we currently have on the roster.

“So the fact that I was there for my first match with him, he’s leading all these things to me. Still I’m coming up to him and asking certain things. He’ll have the answer for me.

Dominique Mysterio’s praises say, citing USOS as the two who helped him throughout his journey, rather than for his fellow main roster stars:

“One more, both USOS. I started a tag match between Roman rule and Usos.

“So I wasn’t doing business with five guys, basically legendary of this business. And I was helping me like a baby of white meat, but they were helping me along this whole journey.”

Mysterio names Rollins and Usos for their support, but he also gives praise to the rest of the roster, explaining:

“It feels like everyone is kind to me a bit, trying to guide me and help me move in the right direction.”
