WWE is set to receive $7,125,250 in public funds from the New Jersey Department of Sports and Expo (NJSEA). Summer SlamIt is scheduled for August 2-3, 2025 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. This figure represents the largest known site fees ever awarded to a WWE event in the US, according to reports from. Wrestlenomics‘Brandon Thurston.

Funds drawn from the Federal Coronavirus State Financial Recovery Fund under the US Rescue Plan Act are allocated as an incentive to support tourism and economic development through major entertainment events.

The NJSEA resolution outlines fees as a strategic investment in the hospitality and events sector in New Jersey.

The Economic Impact Survey, commissioned by WWE and conducted by Applied Analysis, estimates that the event will generate $808.7 million in total economic impacts for the region, including $32.4 million in salary and wages.

NJSEA spokesman Brian Aberbach said the funds aim to offset incentive fees based on expected benefits, citing increased global visibility and boosted local businesses, such as hotels and restaurants.

By comparison, other known WWE sites charges include $5 million from Las Vegas WrestleMania 41 $500,000 from Tampa. Petersburg’s Royal Rumble 2024.

The NJSEA provided $5 million earlier this year to support UFC 302, a TKO Group Holdings event held at the Prudential Center in Newark.
