NXT Championship #1 candidate Milesborde publicly dealt with his hearing loss for the first time during Tuesday’s episode WWE NXT. Having secured a championship opportunity by winning 25 battle royals last week, Bourne offered a promotion for Heartfelt with quarter catch crew stabilisers.
“I have a disability. I’m partially deaf. It affects my speech. It affects the way I speak,” Bourne revealed. “I don’t want to be known as a deaf child. I want to be judged by my ability, not by my disability. That’s something that people with disabilities want to judge.”
He added with confidence, “I struggle and I’m fighting for all the kids who are fighting my battle.”
Borne’s hearing impairment was subtly referenced in the behind-the-scenes segments of previous comedies, but this is the first time that it has been directly recognized in WWE programming.
Later in the show, Borde fought Ethan’s Page and won the Pinfall victory in a fierce battle contest.
Myles Borne is set to challenge OBA FEMI for the NXT Championship WWE Battlegrounds May 25th.
