AEW has confirmed the return date for Shirakawa’s Mina.
The company announced that women’s world champion Tonistorm will compete in the four-way title eliminator at the Dynamite Beach Break on May 14th to determine her next challenger.
The returning Sky Blue was announced as one of the match’s participants, with the other two spots initially remaining open.
Two names filling the spot this week were confirmed as Tony Kahn announced that Japanese stars AZM and Mina Shirakawa would also be taking part in the match.
Shirakawa previously challenged Storm for a women’s title in the Forbidden Door PPV in 2024. She also had a rivalry with Toni’s former apprentice. The female star announced her intention to leave Japan earlier this year and become a regular member of the AEW roster. This will be her first appearance since then.
AZM doesn’t have the same amount of history as American promotions. Though she faced Toni Storm in last year’s clash episode. The 22-year-old won a big victory at NJPW Revival 2025 this month, beating Mercedes Mohn and Shirakawa’s Mina to become the new NJPW strong women’s champion.
Skye Blue, 25, is considering making an impact as it will be her return match after completing almost 10 months of action due to a foot injury. Her final match took place in a July 2024 collision episode.
