Former AEW star Saraya shares his first promotional photo, with Rhea Ripley and other wrestlers taking part

Bob Dylan once described time as “a jet plane moving too fast.” After former AEW women’s world champion Saraya lit up a fire of nostalgia on social media, many professional wrestlers realized how true the sentiment was.

Saraya challenged her fellow wrestlers to share their first promotional photos in the business, sharing teenage headshots along the way. Less professional photos show the former WWE Diva champion smiling nervously in front of wooden siding. Her vulnerability was unsupported as many colleagues shared photos of herself from the nasty beginnings of wrestling. Piper Niven shared her first promotional photo and lamented that she didn’t know about eyebrow pencils at the time. Former WWE Tag Team Champion TJ Wilson has shared photos of himself since his fourth year in business. Wilson’s wife Natalia also shared one of her early photos. Former WWE NXT women’s champions Indy Hartwell and Rhea Ripley also shared old photos. Ripley comes from her days under Ringnam “Demi”.

Saraya’s nostalgic mood could stem from all the changes she had in 2025. The former champion left AEW in March, and three years later both sides said goodbye friendly. She’s finished wrestling for now, so Saraya has time to sit down and write a book. Her memoir, Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way sto Nine Lives, was released earlier this year, detailing her time in both AEW and WWE, as well as her life in independent scenes.
