NXT North American champion Oba Femi is already looking ahead, and looking at WWE’s main roster show like Raw or Smackdown is strictly business, not fandom. In a recent interview with Jim Barsalon, the dominant champion explained his approach to observing people who are already at the top of the sport.
Femi has made it clear that looking at the main roster is a key part of his development and planning.
“As a gaming student. As a sports scholar, I have to look at it. I definitely don’t look at it from a fan’s perspective. It’s real, so many of these people are going to come from shoulder to shoulder with them in a few years, perhaps months.
This shift in perspective is central to his formidable thoughts. Femi sees herself on the inevitable conflict course with WWE’s top stars and prepares accordingly.
“I’m not a fan of anyone on the main roster. I’m an Obafemi. You’re competing now,” he declared. “So I look from a different perspective, not from the fan perspective, but from the perspective of a warrior who is looking for preparation.”
