It’s when you’re facing a sturdy boy

Motor City’s machine guns may be part of WWE, but the future in the ring could potentially bring Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin back to TNA wrestling. Speaking to Metro UK, Shelley recalled how both teams faced their wrestling brothers while they were at TNA.

“It was scheduled once. Probably in 2011, there was a tour of the UK where we booked that match.

Eventually the plans were changed and the match was never successful. Both teams have had many successes both in and out of WWE and TNA, but there has yet to be a match between tag teams attacking the two teams against each other.

“We somehow managed to avoid the Hardy Boys for our entire career, and it’s probably time to get that game.”

With WWE’s ongoing partnership with TNA Wrestling, this match becomes a real possibility. After playing in a TLC match at SmackDown, Shelley and Sabin are ready to face a prescribed innovator.
