Last Wednesday, former Heritage Cup champion Lexis King wrestled in the main event of “WWE Evolve” by defeating “Super” Sean Legacy by Pinfall. Prior to his match, King defended “evolution” on social media and praised it as a fresh opportunity for the young star despite his promise to beat all the competition on the show.
“Tonight #wweevolve has the glorious privilege of hosting the king in the main event! I don’t expect the competition to be steep… evolution is not a downgrade, not a demoting, but a fresh green land conquered by someone other than me!!!”
tonight #wweevolve You have the glorious privilege of hosting the king in the main event!
I don’t expect to rush the competition, but I say this…
Evolve is not a downgrade, not a relegation, but a fresh green land conquered by itself!!!#lllk 👑

Following King’s comments on “Evolve,” fans responded to the original post, claiming that they were watching “Aew Dynamite” on Wednesday night, rather than “development for development.” King not only responded to X users, but also trusted his previous workplace.
“So are you seeing development for development for development? No need to worry… I’ll be busy with development while you watch others develop!”
So, are you looking at development for development?
no worries…
I’ll be busy developing while you watch others develop! https://t.co/3dnm1wmtnb

King is not the only “WWE NXT” star to throw shade at AEW recently, as Je’von Evans humiliated the promotional ticket sales and claimed that the company’s president Tony Khan was “crackhead” during the social media war with Ricochet.
King challenged the Ricky Saints North American title, but failed to defeat the former AEW star. He also competed in the #1 contender Battle Royal to get the chance to face OBA FEMI for the NXT Championship, but unfortunately he was eliminated within the first minute of the match.
