He says he’s gear ready each year, and Matt Cardona (formerly known as Zack Rider in WWE) says WWE is waiting for him to come back. He says he has attended many meetings and events and fans are constantly asking when they will return. He has reached out to WWE several times, but they have yet to offer him to come back.

Cardona is ready to return as Zack Ryder

In a previous interview, Cardona said that Zack Ryder’s character was dead. He didn’t want to take it home, but he lived full time in the independent wrestling scene, but it sounds like he’s ready to return WWE.

In an interview with Chris Van Vriette, Ryder asked as Zack Ryder and was asked if he would be in a one-off spot as Zack Ryder. He replied, “I was geared every year.” It may never lead to a full-time return, but he points out that he is open to it too.

Are you surprised he hasn’t been brought back to WWE?

Cardona was asked if he was surprised that WWE hadn’t called to bring him back. He replied, “To be honest, yes.” He then said, “Obviously I’m missing something. I don’t know what it is.”

“Listen, people always told me, listen, we had WrestleMania. 1,000 people at WrestleCon. Maybe all the other fans, if not all the fans, ‘When will we come back?’ That’s not up to me! ? ” he said. He added that when he was in the WrestleMania hotel, many people in the office and wrestlers were asking when he would come back.

Cardona wants to come back, but at this point WWE doesn’t seem interested in making it happen. Will you ever see Zack Ryder return to the WWE ring? The performer certainly seemed open to the idea, and changed his songs a lot after leaving WWE to create his own name in the indie scene.

For now, he says he’ll just keep squashing his ass until the offer comes.
