One of “WWE Raw’s”‘s newest stars, Penta is another talent to mourn the death of the legendary ECW sub, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 60. Luchador appeared on the May 12 episode of “Raw Recap” on the company’s YouTube channel, discussing the match he recently saw about “suicide, murder, genocide, death-bending maniacs.” Penta said he recently saw a match between Mysterio and Sabu at ECW One Night Stand in November 2006.
“I watched the match again, ECW, Rey Mysterio vs. Sub,” he said. “It’s the most beautiful match I’ve seen in my life. I’m with Ray this morning, so I watched it from a different angle. [and after Sabu’s passing]… oh. Very crazy, man. I’ve never seen Rey Mysterio [do] Lots of crazy things. ”
Mysterio and Sub were fighting for the World Championships. The pair were holding the crowd in Hammerstein’s ballroom from their feet all the way through the game. Mysterio and Sabu landed violently after Sabu caught the champion with a flying headlock and then nailed the DDT who both sent them through the table. The man lands awkwardly on the floor, and Mysterio and Sub are declared unfit to continue. It said he hopes he has, but maybe it’s been a bit smaller.
“I love the match against Rey Mysterio as well. [match] In ECW vs. Sub, “Like a table, not an extreme, but a difficult one. Table, chair… I also love this style and Rey Mysterio.”
