AEW women’s world champion Toni Storm is no longer unbeaten in the title Eliminator match after a fatal four-way match with Mina Shirakawa, who debuted as an official member of Skye Blue, who played her first match 10 months after her serious injury. It was Shirakawa who scored the pin on Wednesday’s episode of “Aew Dynamite” against the storm rollup in one of her own, and recorded the victory.
Shirakawa started the match right after AZM and picked up where he left off on NJPW’s Resurgence Pay-Per-View over the weekend. The blue and storm started after fighting outside the ring. At one point, Storm and Shirakawa met face-to-face in the ring, friendly, but both were kicked in the back by the enemy. Shirakawa wasn’t particularly friendly next time, and she got a storm on her face. Blue had a big spot and she jumped off the top rope and took the other women down the other women below. Storm almost won with Storm Zero at AZM, but Shirakawa disbanded Pin. Storm rolled her up, but Shirakawa refuted and shook the champion for victory.
Storm played in the title eliminator match in “Dynamite” last week, submitting Penelopeford for the victory. Commentary said Storm was 12-0 in her career in the Eliminator Match until Wednesday night. As Shirakawa and Storm stared at the ring, they declared a match with a title that had double or nothing appeared, confirming the title match for the following Sunday.
