AEW Collision honors Steve ‘Mongo’ McMichael with an emotional tribute

Tony Ciaborne hosted a segment that began with Mango’s wife Misty and gave a heartfelt speech about her late husband. She called Mango “the most special person in my life” and talked about his influence in both wrestling and football.

Dean Malenko, the alliance of four jockeys, Mango, took the stage, and Siabone reflected on Mango’s achievements in football and his transition to wrestling. Schiavone also highlighted that May is ALS Awareness Month, making the month special for McMichael.

Then Ric Flair appeared and embraced everyone on the stage. After celebrating Chicago as one of the best wrestling cities, Flair spoke about Mango. Flair Calle recalled his late friend, “the toughest man I’ve ever known,” and his support for him during his battle with ALS. Flair also expressed gratitude to AEW and Tony Karn for praise Misty for being a Mango nurse and giving everyone the opportunity to honor Mango’s legacy.
