Tony Kahn adds singles stretcher matches to AEW double or notecards

“AEW: double or Nothing” has been away for more than a week, and cards for AEW’s Arizona-based event continue to solidify. On Saturday, AEW leader Tony Kahn took him to social media to announce a double or note match worthy of the bitter hostile Marc Brisco and Ricochet: Stretcher match.

The feud between Briscoe and Ricochet has only increased intensified over the past two months, and Briscoe recently took a promotion on AEW social media to express his frustration. In a passionate speech, Brisco said, “I challenged with a lasting thorn. [his] Side” and “Proverb Chap” [his] a ** “Stretcher Match – Fitting – Considering the threat of Ricochet’s follow-through, Briscoe’s ally Zach Gowen is sent to the hospital. With the same video package, Ricochet accepted Briscoe’s offer.

“The challenge has been published. Now it’s official,” Khan tweeted.

With the blessing of Kern, Brisco and Ricochet are set for the highly anticipated stretcher mat, which will air live from Diamond Arizona’s desert on May 25th. Fans cried excitedly under Khan’s official announcement. Others lamented the division within AEW’s bald roster, but ultimately expressed excitement at the guaranteed hard hit clash.

Briscoe and Ricochet stretcher matches will show matches with no disqualification, countouts, pinfalls or submissions. The only condition for a match to win is to strap your opponent to the provided stretcher. In a video package featuring Briscoe’s challenge, Ricochet expressed his desire to send Briscoe to the hospital, as he did to Gowen. Whether Ricochet follows up on his promises or whether Briscoe can overcome the illicit high fire is seen as double or nothing.
