The WWE star returned to action for his first match in four months at an unclear live event last night on May 16th.
During the WWE Smackdown in Greensboro, North Carolina, NXT held a live event in Lakeland Armory in Lakeland, Florida.
In the main event of the NXT show, Dan Techen returned in the ring in his first match since January 14th.
His final match took place on NXT TV with Ethan Page, after which Page attacked him and essentially wrote him from television.
For the next four months, until last night, Chen hadn’t been on TV and hadn’t struggled with immature shows.
That changed in the main event last night as he challenged OBA FEMI for the NXT Championship.
In another interesting note from the Lakeland NXT show, former Lucha House Party member Lince Dorado was active in the opener against Anthony Luke.
Dorado returns to WWE in the role of wrestler/trainer earlier this year and has already had live event matches with the likes of Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin.
