Osprea looks back at his memorable early match with his current AEW co-star curb

About a decade ago, Ospreay and Ricochet had a rivalry based on promotions that had clashed nearly 20 times over four years. Some of their matches spread around social media, attracting both positive and negative attention, some expressed surprise at their athletic ability, while others found the choreography too big.

Osprey, who appeared in “Superstar Crossover,” with Josh Martinez, was asked to share his thoughts on today’s match. The AEW Star said it would be difficult to objectively reflect on his rivalry, as he is responsible for helping him build his reputation around the world. Still, he admitted that he is a very different performer than he is today.

“I’m watching it now, and while I’m watching why I wrestled that way, I’m never going to wrest that way today,” Osprey said.

Continuing to talk about his evolving style, Ospreay revealed that he has been receiving advice and inspiration from former ECW star Jerry Lynn since his arrival at AEW. Lynn works as a producer for the company, and talent from Osprey to Julia Hart appointed him as a soundboard when he was working through character ideas.

“I’m fascinated [by] His knowledge and his tenure spoke about Lynn. [I] We needed those tweaked pieces. ”

As Ricochet was heading from WWE to AEW, he and Ospreay had some opportunity to run through their old rivalry. Since last October, the two have featured two singles matches, three ways, two eight-tagged matches, and they could continue to cross the pass months and years later.
