WWE may be ready to launch a new brand of NXT wrestling. PW Insider reports that there was an internal talk about WWE putting things in line later this year to finally launch “NXT Europe.” This is something WWE had previously considered, but recent conversations have brought this idea back to the forefront.
NXT Europe in the middle
Although details about WWE’s plans are lacking, the online response includes excitement among many in the WWE universe thanks to the opportunities new brands create for international talent. Some European talent and well-known wrestlers (including non-wrestler athletes) have been reported to have been contacted with the intention of getting signed or trying out the brand. @FightfulSelect reports that Mike D Vecchio and Aigle Blanc may already be signed.
One fan wrote, “It’s great to be able to carry out a live-style rivalry with the US NXT.” Another said, “It appears that WWE is creating different paths for employment. Instead of using one basic system, it adapts to a variety of talent.”
When should fans expect a new brand to arrive?
The popular social account IBOU says, “It’ll be November, and anyone who tweets live live RAW, NXT, SD, Evolve, LFG, and NXT Europe will say they can’t see anything else because they don’t have time and life, etc.” If the brand starts by the end of the year, that could mean some appearances by the brand’s talents in January.
If NXT Europe succeeds, there could be a greater expansion in the work. Triple H already hints at PCs and NXTS of the future Australia, Japan and other countries. This means that WWE will put a lot of effort into making sure NXT Europe acts as a feeder system for WWE’s main roster.
It is still unknown where fans can watch the product.
