WWE’s plans for Raw’s Rusev’s next feud on Monday night have been revealed courtesy of a new report.
After WrestleMania 41 at WWE RAW, Rusev returned to work five years later. They immediately attacked Otis and Akira Tozawa from Alpha Academy.
Since then, Rusev has been engaged in a feud with Otis and Tozawa, defeating the former on the May 5th episode of Raw and is now being promoted to take on the latter at the upcoming Monday show in Tampa, Florida.
With many fans hoping that Rusev will drive Tozawa off on Monday, it is possible that a potential plan for WWE’s Bulgarian Brute’s upcoming feud on TV has been revealed.
As reported by Pwinsider Elite (via Wrestlingnews.co), “the rumble of the Rusev vs. Sheamus program is being sold to the Raw brand.”
Sheamus has been busy with A-Town Down’s Austin Theory and Grayson Waller since returning to WWE Action on May 5th, but Celtic Warriors recently crossed Tozawa in a behind-the-scenes segment on May 12th.
The pair are known to be close friends outside of work, but Sheamus and Rusev shared history with each other on WWE TV, making up half of the short-lived Nations League of Nations faction, along with Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio from 2015 to 2016.
