Kelani Jordan Outmarts Zaria wins NXT Women’s North American title match

The May 20 episode of WWE NXT served as the final episode before Battlegrounds this Sunday. You never know what will happen with the Shawn Michaels brand. That included major matches in the women’s division.

One of the most notable matches saw Kerani Jordan’s face Zaria. If Jordan wins, she will win future opportunities in Soluluka’s NXT women’s North American title.

This match was reduced in the second hour of this week’s show. Zaria came out confidently and promised Sol Luka that she would protect the women’s North American Championships. Naturally, Kelani, the first woman to hold that belt, wants another run in the championship.

This was a big contest as things moved to ringside and Zaria threw Keranjyordan against the barricades. The two women followed, and they cut into a commercial. Zaria eventually landed a cannonball that shocked the NXT Arena as she had to censor the “Holy sh*t” chants.

The match continued, with Zaria accidentally knocking Soruruka out of the apron. Kerani Jordan then got her a roll-up pin to win the match. Currently, Kerani will face Soluluka in the Battlegrounds for the NXT Women’s North American title.

From this point on, we need to see what happens in the North American title photo of a woman on NXT. Anything is possible at this point, as the NXT brand is always likely to surprise fans.
