Roman Reigns is reportedly giving talks in upcoming films based on the popular, long-standing video game franchise.
After being betrayed by Paul Heyman in the main event of WrestleMania 41 and attacked by Heyman’s new clients, Seth Rollins and Bron Blakeker, the following night has seen or heard nothing from the Roman rule.
While fans are awaiting news about a potential return to WWE programming, Deadline reports that the original uncontroversial WWE champion will appear in upcoming live-action films based on Capcom’s “Street Fighter” video game franchise.
According to the report, Reigns, Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Noah Centineo (Warfare) and Andrew Koji (Bullet Train) are all names of the project’s talks and currently have no release dates.
As detailed in the Deadline report, the film will be directed by Kitao Sakurai and co-developed by Capcom, but as with the film’s production, there are still questions about who is writing the script.
Reigns’ most prominent acting role to date is in Fast & Furious’s spinoff “Hobbs & Shaw,” starring Rock and Jason Statham, which was released in 2019.
We provide up-to-date information on Reigns’ potential role in the Street Fighter live action movie and WWE’s return status as more information becomes available.
