WWE NXT Results (5/20/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show welcomes us with Vic Joseph, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Corey Graves. WWE NXT North American Champion Ricky Saints head into the ring and join the commentary desk for the first match of the night.
Jevon Evans, Sean Legacy and Ashante Adonis move towards the ring for the first match of the night.
Triple threat match: Ashante “Tel” Adonis vs. “Young OG” Jevon Evans vs. “Super” Shawn Legacy
The match begins with Adonis passing his right hand and stomping on the corner legacy. Legacy then winds up Evans, but Evans hits Adonis with a back body drop as Evans has a waist lock tied to him. Evans then appears to fly, but Legacy moves to a roll-up, with Evans kicking out. Legacy joins Adonis by dropkicking Evans out of the ring, but Adonis returns to the ring to nail Legacy. Evans then first hits Adonis in the face of the ring apron, then flies and lands outside. Adonis then goes back inside the ring and hands Evans the right hand, but Legacy hits Adonis for a few chops.
Adonis then sends Legacy to the corner, then delivering his shoulder to the corner opposite Legacy and Evans. Adonis then hits DDT in Legacy, then hits Evans’ spinebuster over Legacy, pinning both men. Evans and Legacy both kick out, and Adonis looks like he’s hitting sweet chin music with Legacy. Legacy then catches Adonis’ boots, but Evans crashes Legacy out of the ring along with Enz Igiri. Legacy then responds with a Spanish fly in Evans, but Evans crashes him off the top rope with Hari Canrana. Adonis then sends Evans out of the ring and sends a legacy of Pin, but Evans slips inside to break the fall.
Adonis then nails Evans with a DDT, but Evans bumps into Legacy with an OG cutter. He then crashes Adonis into the mat, but Evans hits Adonis for a 450 splash, going to Pin, and Legacy defeats Fall. Ethan Page blinds the saints at the announcement desk, but security pulls them apart. Evans then jumps out of the ring and lands at Page, Saint, Security. Legacy then utilizes and lifts up a double under-hook neck breaker to crash into the mat for victory.
Triple threat winner, “Super” Shaun Legacy!
After that, you will return to the office of NXT General Manager Ava. There, Stevie Turner says he is excited about the legacy victory, and Ava tells her and Stone to deal with Page and Saints Brawl. Ava then welcomes WWE LFG winners Tyra Mae Steele and Jasper Troy, saying they will debut in the coming weeks. The AVA then collects the contract. Tyra Mae Steele says she’s excited and Jasper Troy has been making an impact from tonight.
Then get a video vignette to Jordynne Grace. Grace talks about how she, Stephanie Verker and Julia all get gold in NXT. Grace says they both ruled their territory and Stephanie fled with her NXT women’s title, but that’s not going to happen again.
We then head backwards, where Laura Vice tells Stephanie Verker that she has money. The Verker then left, and Fallon Henry and Jacee Jane stood up and sucked into the champion and chuckled at her. Lora says they can’t stop getting in the way of each other, and Jacey and Fallon snipe each other.
Trick Williams’ music hits and he moves towards the ring. Williams says that it’s what his mom is calling him and that’s the average Joe and he’s going to call Joe Hendry. Williams then begins a rap performance, with the chorus focusing on the fact that he hasn’t retreated to the average Joe. Joe Hendry is shown in the back and his gloves are off, he says.
He then sees Josh Briggs being asked by Kelly Kincaid about facing tonight’s Sean Spears solo, and he sends a message to Yoshiki Inamra that it’s not fun without him before he goes out to the match. Sean Spears then heads into the ring for the next night’s match.
Single Match: Josh Briggs vs. Culling’s Sean Spears
The match begins with both men locking up. Briggs then hits Spears’ strike before nailing him with flying back elbows and body slams. Briggs then first causes Spears to hit the face of the apron, but Spears causes Briggs to hit the ring post and return it to the ring.
Briggs then hits Spears with a splash, but Spears responds to Briggs with arm resistance. Briggs first causes Spears to crash into the Announcement Desk Face, and interfering Nicovance crashes into the ring step, but Izzydam nails Briggs while Brooks Jensen is distracted by the referee. This opens the door for Spears to roll up Briggs for the victory.
Singles winner, Sean Spears from Culling!
After the match, Culling continues to beat Briggs. Hank Walker and Tank Leisure make their way and come to Briggs’ aid.
After that, we head backwards. There, Kerani Jordan says that if she defeats Zaria, she will take a title shot on Sunday. Sol Luka says she is following her words. Jordan questions it, and Zaria says that Luka is the woman of her words, but she does not reach the battlefield.
Next, we see Ulia Connors and Kale Dixon are ready for the match and are shown walking behind the scenes with Andre Chase.
Then Tatum Paxley sits in the corner and looks sad until Thea Hail appears with an eye patch and asks last week. She says she will bounce back. Tatum says he doesn’t understand what it means to lose everyone. Shea then agrees to oppose it and tries to reach out, but Haida accuses her and attacks Shea with her knee. She then tells Thea to worry about herself and tells Tatum that she understands. Then Tatum says, “Really?” and Haida says, “Hell no!”
Chase then advances towards the ring for the next match of the night, followed by OTM.
Tag Team Match: Chase U (Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors) vs. OTM (Bronco Lima and Lucien Price)
The match begins with Bronco Nima, Ulia Connors and Nima. Nima sends Connors to the mat. Kale Dixon and Lucien Price will tag in, and Dixon delivers right-handed prices. Dixon then follows it with the DDT and Connor tags.
Price hits the back drop of Nima’s Connors and tag. Dixon then nails Nima with a super kick, and Connors makes him crash into the mat. The price is then tagged and Connors clashes with Dixon. OTM then won the Connors team in a double-team double-Alabama slam.
Tag Team Match winners, OTM (Bronco Lima and Lucien Price)!
Next, we see WWE NXT champions Oba Femi and Myles walking behind the scenes.
Miles Bourne then heads into the ring, followed by WWE NXT champion Oba Femi. Femi says he can’t know if Born is stupid or brave, but that’s got him this far. He praises Borne for his understanding of him fighting for the NXT Championship at Battleground and for fighting for people with disabilities, but says that it can be misleading. He says that if he steps into the ring with him on the battlefield, his dreams will die. He tells Borne to join the list of people he was taken with and things will end in his hands.
Born says he might be in the ring with feminists alone, but he’s not alone. He says he trains without a quarter catch crew and has created a community for kids who don’t suit them with every child they feel different. He says nurses, doctors, enemies and coaches underestimate him and have survived the fight since he was born. He says it may be difficult to hear, but if he shocks the world at Battlegrounds, fans will hear the three of them being loud and clear.
Jaspert Roy blinds Femi from behind and attacks him, but Born comes to the femi’s aid. Borde is trying to help Femi, but the Femi refuses to accept Bourne’s help. He keeps the NXT Championship as he stares at Bone.
