The current WWE Champion opened in Las Vegas in a bittersweet moment from WrestleMania 41 last month.
Becky Lynch returned to WWE TV after returning to WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas last month. She was revealed as the tag team partner of Lila Valkyria for the women’s tag team championship match between Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Lila was originally scheduled to team up with Bailey, Liv and Raquel on the show, but Bailey was attacked before the match and Lila had to replace her with her partner.
Speaking about her insight moment with Chris Van Vriette, Lyla acknowledged that she was a bit sad for Bailey and that she was at the expense of her.
She said:
“I’ve come at the expense of Bailey. It’s a bit sad because I clicked so well as a tag team. So it was really tough to spend the enthusiast moment.
“Becky is a big part of why I started wrestling. But it was the time of NXT’s four horse women. It wasn’t just Becky. Bailey had a big impact.
Becky turned on Lila the following night, with Liv and Raquel regaining the women’s tag team championship.
Lyla and Becky faced singles action in the WWE Backlash, with Lyla taking up the victory to maintain the women’s intercontinental championship.
