Alberto Del Rio’s WWE X AAA Worlds Collide status revealed

With the acquisition of Mexico’s Lucha Libre Promotion AAA, WWE will see many changes in the coming weeks, hosting its first joint event, called WWE X AAA Worlds Collide next month. There is speculation that Alberto del Rio will appear at the event, and his status has now been revealed.

While speaking on Wrestlevotes Radio, Wrestlevotes reported that some AAA wrestlers are currently scheduled to appear in the upcoming Worlds Collide event. The names include Aerostar, Chick Tormenta, Dr. El Hijode Wagner Jr., El Hijo del Baikinko, Laredo Kid, Mr. Iguana, Octagon Jr., Pagano and Psycho Piero.

However, one notable name missing is Alberto del Rio, so it is highly unexpected that he will be attending the event, which will take place on June 7th. This comes after it was previously reported that Alberto del Rio remains signed to the AAA and that WWE will ultimately inherit that contract.

AAA recently announced the match between Alberto del Rio and El Hajo del Baikinkyo at an upcoming event scheduled for May 31st before the WWE X AAA Worlds collided. However, this does not mean that there are plans to use him once WWE is officially taken over.

Due to Alberto Del Rio’s past issues with WWE and the bad media attention he has gained in recent years, it is possible that WWE has chosen to leave him, even if he works with AAA. No matter what, he will not take part in a world conflict event. That is not expected to change.
