WWE recently released many superstars such as Brown Strowman, Dakota Kai and Isla Dawn. Among them was NXT Stalwart Shotzi, whose contract has expired. WWE Hall of Famer and NXT broadcaster Booker T noticed that it was one of the latest departure spells.
“I like shodzi. She was like one of the hardest working workers,” Booker recently told The Hall of Fame. Booker met Shotzi during the “WWE Tough” season. There, Shotzi was cut early and used Refusal to become Star Booker’s Saw in WWE programming. “When she arrived in WWE, they built her like a huge tank… It looked very cool and had a cool vibe.
Booker lamented that Shotzi had to cover his scratches and nails for all the advancements in WWE, and suddenly disappeared from the company.
“She’s a worker, so the Knights are just going to continue,” Booker said.
Shotzi’s future has already been suggested in Major League Wrestling. Recent reports suggest that the company will make her part of the women’s division that has been improved this summer. Shotzi’s departure from WWE was the expiration of his contract, not a fire, and without the usual 90-day non-competitive restrictions. This means that the company has already been able to tinker with its involvement in the department. As Booker predicted, Shotzi says the outlook has reinvigorated her and added motivation to succeed in wrestling.
