“There’s starvation in the authenticity my audience wants right now. I know it’s especially from me, but I feel it’s common,” Cross explained. “People can feel like a distinction in theatre that is clearly still appreciated. And there is a difference in someone being authentic. His comments suggest that he aims to bring a sense of “reality” to his own performance for a better connection with WWE audiences. This view may have influenced his “working” promotional style after Wrestle Mania.
