In the spot of the match after returning to WWE in 2009, Kennedy performed a belly suppression with Randy Orton, but something went well. Orton claimed he had landed on his neck, and it was reported that Orton’s complaints played a major role in WWE’s decision to make Kennedy famous. In a recent interview on “Insights with Chris Van Vriette,” Kennedy admitted that he wanted to go back while wrestling with TNA following the release of WWE. “I didn’t want to blow the bridge completely,” he said, not interested in returning.
But now that time has passed, he is growing up and he understands there are more to mistakes in one ring, and he thinks about WWE differently. “Now that’s changed. I’m definitely [go back] Kennedy admitted.
What has changed for Mr. Kennedy?
Things are different now. He explained. He added, “At some point, I realized that I had played hands, huge hands.” He said it took a long time to get through that feeling.
He elaborated, “I don’t know exactly what it is. Those who went to Vince and said that can’t work with this guy anymore. Up until that point, the conversation would have been different. [it all]. There was a lot of negativity about what I was doing, my attitude…”
He was angry that people were talking about him and he said he now takes responsibility for giving other people a reason to complain about him. He read a lot and self-reflection to learn how to take responsibility. When asked if he felt that the biggest “what if” in wrestling, he admitted that no one ever told him that.
