Tay Melo said in an interview that AEW asked her to prepare for upcoming events.
Speaking to Globo, Melo expressed her hopes for such a comeback two years after she announced her pregnancy at the same event in 2023.
“That day will be another ‘double or nothing’ event,” Mello said. “It was an event that we announced Luna, but two years have passed since that moment. As a new company, I am the first fighter to have a baby. It will be a very special date. I look forward to it.”
Mello recalls an emotional 2023 announcement with her husband Sammy Guevara. There, they were “company villains.” She said, “We didn’t know how the fans would react… when we announced it… the fans went crazy… I went from the villain to the darling.”
No official returns have been confirmed, but the timing is impressive. Melo last appeared on AEW in a double or note in 2023, and in January 2025 he was a ring intern at Stardom.
