OMOS deals with WWE status in a long absence

OMOS is working on WWE’s position in a long absence from the company’s programming.

After debuting in WWE as AJ Styles bodyguard in 2020, OMOS became a feature player on television and held the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship in style after finally breaking down as a singles star under the management of MVP in early 2022.

The Nigerian giants will continue to win rivalry between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins in the spring of 2023 following the acquisition of Triple H’s WWE Creative in the summer of 2022, but his appearances have become very sporadic beyond that point, competing only in live event matches with the Battle Royals.

As his final match on WWE TV was last April 2024 Andre the Giant Battle Royale, Omos shared an update on his status while talking to Adam Willborn of Watt Culture.

When asked about his absence, Omos expressed his preparation and excitement at the prospect of returning, saying:

“I’m just waiting. I’m having fun in Japan and patiently waiting.”

When asked about his goals for 2025, Omos said he was ready to go back into the ring and “dominate” again.

Omos said:

“To be honest, man, I’m just here, I’m just ready to come back and dominate in the ring again.

“Nothing brings more joy than being in a wrestling ring, so whenever it happens, I’m ready to go back there.”

It’s been more than a year since his last WWE match, but Omos has recently been wrestling because Noah wrestling throughout January.

It is still unknown when OMOS comes back to WWE programming, but we will provide updates when it becomes available.
