Tony Kahn is working on Derby Allyn’s position following the Star’s recent Mount Everest expedition to double or nothing in AEW.

Derby Allin arrived at the top of Mount Everest on May 18, 2025, and on May 25, AEW double or nothing happened.

During a media call before the show, Tony Kahn shared his thoughts on Allin’s achievements and noted the importance of the stars:

“Derby Allin is one of AEW’s greatest wrestlers and is incredibly proud of what he has accomplished.

“Climbing Mount Everest was a big goal for him, and he did that. He set out on this journey with two distinct purposes: demanding the climb itself, the full focus, becoming the first professional wrestler and one of the first professional athletes.

“It’s an extraordinary feat and is truly worth celebrating.”

Khan then continues to talk about Allin’s return to AEW, but he does not specify when fans can expect it to happen.

“Derby is an amazing guy. He loves AEW and his fans love him.

“He is an important part of our locker room and we all look forward to his safe return.

“I can’t wait to welcome him. Whenever he’s ready, we’re excited to have him.”

Although such a plan has not yet been officially confirmed, it has been reported previously that AEW wanted Derby Allin to return whether it was double or nothing.

According to Fightful Select, it seems “not impossible” that Allin could show up in any capacity in pay-per-view this weekend.

Allin was last seen on screen in the episode of AEW Dynamite on December 22, 2024, and made Ricochet a time-limited draw in the Continental Classic.
